BEGINNING – ADVANCED: If you seek riding instruction, Karla Watson will provide work appropriate to your skill level in a safe and supportive environment. She does basic horsemanship, natural horsemanship and hunter/jumper. Karla is the consummate professional, well-regarded by her peers and admired by her students. She works exclusively at our stables, preparing riders of all abilities for hunter/jumper competition.
DRESSAGE: Shannon Antonakis focuses on developing riders to master a solid foundation of balance, relaxation and communication through biomechanics and Classical Dressage fundamentals. Shannon has trained for over 35 years following the German Training Scale and continues to follow this system with USDF and CADORA standards and specifications. Shannon has worked for and trained with some of North America's top riders and trainers, including 30+ years of breaking, starting, and riding young green horses and stallions.
Our lesson program is geared to the individual, depending on age, experience and ambition. The rider is matched to the trainer that best fits their situation.
Karla has been the lead trainer at the Club for over twenty years and has helped hundreds of people become riders and champions. Lesson programs can be designed to your schedule and availability, but most importantly to your objectives … be it comfort, competence or ribbons!
Start your youngsters on the right foot. You don’t even need to own a horse. We offer services of a gentle and experienced lesson horse and provide training for riders of all ages. Our gentle horse Splash is a perfect lesson horse for youngsters of all ages.
We realize that choosing a training facility is no easy matter. You are invited to visit our stables to learn more about the horse riding lessons at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club stables. Call to make an appointment. Please leave a message – we spend most of our time taking care of horses rather than hanging about the office!
